Quintain's Archery Range

Quintain responds to your polite answer with a small bow. "Thank you." The conversation seems to be over so you begin to navigate your way past the bullseye while Quintain knows you're in-range and knows to avoid you. He watches you leave but seems conflicted about something. You're nearly out of the glade when he catches up to you.

"Wait! Um, dungeoneer. There are some strange dangers ahead and... well, do you have an acorn?"

You answer him. If you say yes, he looks relieved and wishes you luck, and you leave. If you say no, he reaches into his shirt and pulls out an acorn which he offers to you. "Keep this with you until you meet the Cold Ghost, which haunts this level. Give it to him as a gift and he'll let you pass."

You look from the acorn that Quintain pressed into the palm of your hand to Quintain himself. Will you accept this gift? It will take up a place in your inventory for as long as you have it. If you want to keep it, add it to your inventory. If you don't believe you'll need it, you may throw it into the grass at the side of the track as you leave.
