I envy that kind of freedom. Wouldn't it be wonderful to get out of these cages and see the world? I've always dreamed of doing that. Surely you feel the same way?"
This little speech alone made Pinion feel tantalised for the world that lay beyond, never mind the prospect of genuine escape, but the stork seemed to feel differently. It avoided Pinion's eyes and huffed, shaking its head in dismissal. "What's the point in wanting something you can't have?"
