Hello! I'm Mike and I'm here to bring your world to life through the medium of maps.
Due to a change in circumstances, I'm temporarily closing standard commissions from 7th December 2023, and closing quick maps (a couple of hours of work or less) on 21st December 2023. I'll update here when this changes - Mike 30/11/23.
I know many of you are intrigued by maps, by the stories they tell, the history they uncover, and the adventure of where a trail may lead. So I offer to create maps for you, of whatever you have in mind, whether it's a real-world place, or a fantasy-world project you're working on.
You might be a world-builder, or be writing a book, and you'd like a map or two to bring your world to life. I produce digital hand drawn maps, with cities, regions or whole worlds being possibilites. If you're not familiar with fantasy world-building, then what I do in a nutshell is the mapping of worlds created by others. However, it could be you'd like an alternative map of your local area instead of something fictional.
I draw my maps digitally by hand & using Wonderdraft (fantasy map drawing software), often combining the two methods. I also offer geographical world building consultations - more info in my FAQ's.

Quick guide to the map making process:
1: Get in touch via Discord (mikesmaps), by using my Contact Form, by email (see footer), or by using my specific Map Questionnaire Form.
2: We'll agree on what you'd like in your map, when you'd like it, while keeping to your budget. Secure payment can be for a fixed price or on a per-hour basis to suit you.
3: I'll draw your map to your requirements, using any provided sketches or maps, keeping you informed at each stage until completion.
4: After I've added the finishing touches you'll have your map (sent digitally) to use as you wish!
