Lisset visibly deflates as you tell her this. "Oh," she says, her voice smaller than it was. "That's disappointing. Then, I don't feel it's fair for me to help you. But I don't like to watch people die so I'm going to go and run some errands until I'm sure you're gone. Maybe Alaura wants me to grind some herbs or something. Bye!" she concludes with a sunny smile and a wave, and leaves.
That earns you a curious hum from Sir Escart. "Dungeoneer, are you sure you know nothing of bears? Surely it would have been better to come up with something, just to save your own life? Ah, still. I'll be interested to see whether you choose to collapse on Lisset's flagstones or try to leave the way you came and- well," he says with a shudder. "We won't get into that."
You realise that Escart is right: you really are trapped. You feel your Life Force tick away, and there's nothing you can do to replenish it: it seems that Lisset doesn't keep any food here. In no time at all you will be gone, one way or another, and at least Lisset won't have to watch you die, small comfort though that may be to you. Perhaps you would care to start your adventure again.
