Lisset's Chamber

As you talk, Lisset's brow furrows and she starts slowly pacing, stepping carefully and watching where she puts her feet, as if she's absently playing don't-step-on-the-cracks. You get a distinct impression of her being unimpressed. Your words fizzle out and you ask, "What's wrong?"

Lisset seems to consider her words for a while. Then she says, "I think it's awfully rude to lie to people, especially if they offered to help you. The thing is, I don't understand why you'd lie to me. So look, I don't think I'm going to help you. But I don't like to watch people die so I'm going to go away for a while and see if Alaura needs my help or something. I'll come back when you're gone. Either you'll die and disappear from the dungeon or you'll try to leave the way you came, and that never did an outsider any good at all. Still," she concludes, "that's just how it is. Bye!"

She trots out of the room before you can stop her, and find yourself with nothing to do but let your Life Force clock tick down to nothing. At least you can make yourself comfortable to die, so you sit on her pallet until your Life Force runs out.
