Aha, the perennial question, eh?
Pinion lowered its head as it felt anger build up inside its breast. Then it took a sharp breath and glared at the stork. If any bird could tolerate its annoyance then surely one of these great birds could! "Why is it that every bird I try to talk to hates me so much? What have I done? What have I ever done to you?"
In return the stork looked at Pinion like it had just murdered every flamingo in its flock: in other words, as if it was incredibly dangerous. "I'm done," it said in a clipped tone and walked away.
"Hey!" Pinion called after it, "Where are you going?"
"Away from you, freak!"
What else could Pinion say? It held its breath, watching the grey and white bird striding away, then blurted out, "Bah!" and stalked away from the fence too.
Okay, nice try. Looks like you need to give Pinion a chance to cool down and think.
