Nice choice! Of course, nice isn't always the best strategy. But hey, sometimes it is. It depends on the effect you're aiming for.

"That's very clever!" Pinion observed.

"Thank you!" the crow said gratefully with a dip of its head. Then it poked its beak into the bottle and drank a little of the brown water, its throat pulsing quickly as it swallowed. Satisfied at least for the moment, it turned to look at Pinion again. "I can show you some more tricks if you like."
